Set your list price You have two options for setting your list price: Sales to customers in all other locations will receive a 35% royalty, and will show up in your royalty reports at the 35% rate. TIP: The 70% royalty option only applies to books sold to customers in the 70% territories. See the chart below for help on choosing a plan that will work best for your book: Being able to set your list price outside of this range may allow you to sell your book at more competitive prices. The 70% plan requires you to set your list price within a certain range (e.g., between $2.99 and $9.99 for eBooks sold on ). If you want more flexibility in setting your list price, you may want to choose the 35% option. Delivery costs do not apply to the 35% royalty plan. If your book contains lots of graphics or images and you choose the 70% royalty plan, we may deduct delivery costs to process, store, and deliver your book to customers. If your book content is public domain, it's ineligible for the 70% royalty plan. Recently I was having trouble with Adobe Lightroom and the potential fixes involved stopping certain processes to see if it fixed the problem. There's also a handy System Control feature that lets you directly control active processes on your computer. It's labeled as phishing and ransomware protection, and the extension puts an icon in your browser that appears as a green check for good sites, and a yellow exclamation for suspicious ones. First, there's a browser extension for Chrome, Internet Explorer, and Firefox that warns you when you're on a sketchy site that might harm your computer or your private information. On top of antivirus and malware protection, Webroot has a few extra features to keep you safe online too. There are also more advanced menus available to really drill down and set things up to your particular personal requirements. Do you want real-time protection on or off? Just hit the switch. A column on the right side contains all the options for security and scanning, and most options are simple, binary choices. Webroot has a simple interface that's easy to figure out and intelligently organized. It's a pretty basic package that costs $39.99 (discounted to $19,99 for the first year) or £22.49 for users in the UK and can be installed on one device or three devices for an extra $10. I decided to take a look at its basic "antivirus" package, which touts lighting fast scans, no updates to install since it's cloud-based, and phishing/malware protection. Webroot is a fairly well-known name in the security community, and it's all encompassing "Secure Anywhere" software suite is offered in three varietals: antivirus, Internet Security Plus, and Internet Security Complete. Many social scientists use APA inline citations with works cited - quick guide - sample essay. Many historians use Chicago-style endnotes or footnotes - quick guide - sample essay.4) Choose Your Academic Citation StyleĪfter creating your Zotero library items, you can easily insert them into your writing using any academic citation style. Three of the most common citation styles are: For any Zotero item, type in your reading notes or tags, or sort into hierarchical folders (called collections) by topic. In Zotero Standalone, right-click to save current pageĪlso, you may manually enter Zotero entries for items not available on the web. Or point your class to my video tutorial, which appears at the bottom of this page. If you’re an educator for students doing long-form expository writing, consider designing your own quick demo to show in class. In my three-minute presentation I briefly demonstrate basic ways to use Zotero, such as capturing sources from the web and citing them in the preferred format of your academic field (such as Chicago-style endnotes in history, or APA or MLA in-line citations and bibliographies in the social sciences and literature fields). And in case you missed this, let me repeat that it’s free. Many people describe Zotero as “iTunes for your books and articles.” But it does much more. While there are several applications on the market, my favorite is Zotero, a freely downloadable and open-source application from the Center for History and New Media at George Mason University. This demo is relevant to anyone working on long-form expository writing with source citations, including undergraduates, graduate students, and faculty. Incorporating a bibliographic management tool into your workflow may improve the quality of your scholarship, or at minimum, preserve your sanity. To address this problem, I’ve blended a three-minute visual demonstration on why and how to use a bibliographic management tool into my broader presentations on the research-to-writing process. This mismatch between the high value we place on writing, and the limited ways we teach about the process, never ceases to amaze me. Why not? Probably because it’s still uncommon for scholars to openly teach, share, and learn ways of composing our written works, despite the fact that it’s the primary way we evaluate the quality of our students and faculty. And when I talk further with the half who use these tools, many confide that they still don’t fully understand how to effectively utilize them. Every time I teach a class or give a guest lecture about the research-to-writing process, I pose this question: Do you currently use a bibliography management tool to keep track of books and articles you’ve read, so that you can easily cite them in your writing? While of my undergraduates have never used these tools, I continue to be surprised by gatherings of graduate students in reading-intensive fields, such as history, where only half of the audience raise their hands. This is sad you cook to make people happy, especially if they are spending 14 dollars on a turkey meal. My name may be trucker but I’ve cooked and been a chef in Lancaster county for years but if someone lets you know the problem and the attitude you get back is as if you don’t care about customer service. But to start we ordered three meals, the first was a meatloaf my wife said it was pretty good but the mash potatoes were like water, second we got a Reuben which I don’t where in the world you could send a Reuben out with mayo on it messed that sandwich up and last but not least I ordered a turkey dinner, I should have known something was off when there was a burn spot at the bottom of the container I opened it to the same watered down mash potatoes my wife had, but when I checked the stuffing it was as black as a chalk board and they just poured gravy over it and sent it. because the breakfast was enjoyable the last time. I ordered take out from this establishment. But today I have to change it this may be my last time eating here because obviously their staff doesn’t care about how bad their food and service was. Great breakfast, is what I put 2 years ago.
